EL PER\u00da<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Como cada segundo viernes del mes, la direcci\u00f3n general del hospital Santa Rosa y la Oficina de Apoyo a la Docencia llevaron a cabo la tercera edici\u00f3n de los Viernes Cient\u00edficos de la instituci\u00f3n, que tiene como finalidad enriquecer y fortalecer el conocimiento y bases cient\u00edficas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En esta oportunidad, el Doctor Eduardo Payet Meza, especialista en cirug\u00eda oncol\u00f3gica abdominal, fue el ponente del d\u00eda, qui\u00e9n habl\u00f3 sobre \u201cLos Retos del C\u00e1ncer en el Per\u00fa\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Doctor Eduardo Payet enfatiz\u00f3 sobre la importancia de hacer campa\u00f1as de prevenci\u00f3n de C\u00e1ncer en la poblaci\u00f3n para reducir las tasas de mortalidad.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><em>El 63% de los pacientes con c\u00e1ncer mueren dentro del primer a\u00f1o de haberse hecho el diagn\u00f3stico. La mortalidad va aumentando a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o. De tal forma que en el tercer a\u00f1o el 85% de los pacientes mueren y al quinto a\u00f1o el 93% m\u00e1s de la mitad. &#8211; <\/em>Expuso el especialista.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Asimismo, confes\u00f3 estar orgulloso de la Unidad Oncol\u00f3gica del nosocomio, porque considera que marca una diferencia en el manejo del c\u00e1ncer en el pa\u00eds, siendo una de las m\u00e1s importantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La interesante ponencia concluy\u00f3 con una ronda de preguntas. Al culminar la exposici\u00f3n, el director general de la instituci\u00f3n, M.C. C\u00e9sar Herrera Vidal, y la jefa de la OADI, Mg.
